Plaid Checkered Scarf Knitting Pattern


This is a good and thick scarf (the textured stitch which makes it very warm), with an unique design which looks like a plaid. It’s truly a beautiful rich texture inspired by the book “Pop Knitting” by Britt-Marie Christoffersson

Not recommended for beginners. You will need to know about Intarsia, slip stitches, casting and binding off, picking up stitches…

Yarn: the model shown here is made with Cascade Yarn – Cascade 220 Heathers – 100gr/200 meters – 18-20 stitches = 10 cm knitted with 4.5mm needles.

You’ll need DK/Aran Yarn:

Main Color (MC) : Brown = 200 gr
Contrasting Color 1 (CC1) : Blue = 100 gr
Contrasting Color 2 (CC2) : Green = 100 gr
Contrasting Color 3 (CC3) : Mustart = 100 gr

4 double pointed needles 4.5 mm (or circular needle)

+ 4 double pointed needles 5.5 mm (or circular needle)
