This shawl is made with Dog Rose Stitch which is very easy going.
Accessible to beginners as long as you’re familial with P, K, yo, SKP and K2tog, which are the basics of the lace in knitting.
The result is a beautiful soft shawl that you can wrap around your neck.
Quickly made with Aran / 5mm needles. The gauge is not too relevant. You can make it with a different yarn weight and try smaller size needles until you reach the desired lenght, with most important is that you end up with a multiple of 18 sts + 1 before you start the border.
I made the shawl with 250gr (5 balls) of Aran wool.
There was no label on the one I used for this one unfortunately, however I can say it was a soft and tweedy texture, probably a blend of wool and nylon or silk.
The finished measures here with 5mm needles are 179 x 48 cm.
The pattern has been reviewed by the lovely testers at Ravelry who helped make sure it was neat and clear.
