Learn those easy plain crochet stitches for a textured pattern

 

Roll Stitch

Row2: Work the clusters on ch1 from previous row.

Single crochet (US) on back loop

SC on back loop

 Starting row: insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch.

Row 2: ch1, sk1, sc in each sc, inserting hook in the horizontal back thread only.

Change color with single crochet

Change colors on single crochet  When you change color, beware the position of both threads on our picture. This shows how the last half-made sc is ended with the dark thread.

Embossed single crochet

Embossed sc Rows 1 and 2: sc.

Row 3: ch1, sc, and crochet each 4th stitch as follow: insert hook through the next stitch on the 1st row, pull a loop, bring it at the level of the 3rd row, yo, pull thread through both loops on hook.

Pattern with treble crochet

Row4: ch1 , sk1, 1sc on each dc.

Row5: same as row 3, working Fpdc between row 3’s fpdc
