Dear All,
After a successful try with Red Cabbage dyeing, I decided to make some experiment with expired Cranberry juice.
Dyeing with fruits or vegetable juices is actually very easy.
I soaked 5 balls of white wool in a tupperware, into 2 litres of cranberry juice and 2 spoons of Alum, for 5 days. I’ve been stirring everyday, pressing the skeinz to allow the liquid penetrate into the center of the ball.
(Have a look at my other tutorial about Red Cabbage for more details about the process)
The last night, I added 1 cup of white vinegar.
Here is the conclusion of the experience: I have a beautiful variegated wool in shades of Pink.
